In August 2007 Cicero’s innovative and creative thinking secured a new piece of, quite literally, 'global' business.
Arkadin is a global voice and data conferencing provider - and the idea of worldwide communication provided the inspiration for an attention grabbing campaign device - an inflatable globe which is to be mailed to Arkadin's prospects in the retail sector.
Voice and data conferencing is a competitive industry, with many providers offering similar products. However, in a time when carbon footprints and reducing emissions are a growing concern, Arkadin position themselves as an environmentally-conscious alternative to driving or flying to meetings.
Given this, the inflatable globe is a great metaphor not only for global communication, but also for people having the welfare of the planet in their hands.
Having used our own staff members in the original visuals, Arkadin loved the idea of using 'real-people' so much that Cicero's staff were asked to repeat their poses for a series of photographs shot by rock, pop and fashion photographer Paul Crowther.
Moving from initial meeting to completion of the artwork, took only seven weeks. With the first wave of inflated globes due to land on UK CEO's desks later this month, Arkadin is hoping to roll out the campaign world wide towards the end of the year.
