Fresh thinking from Cicero for CMP Information

After a successful pitch against four other international agencies, Cicero has once again expanded upon its strong client base with a significant new contract for CMP Information, a division of United Business Media plc.

CMP Information is a leading publisher and organiser of exhibitions and events worldwide and has appointed Cicero to help with a new branding and marketing campaign for its flagship show, CPhI Worldwide. With over 1,500 exhibitors and 21,000 attendees, the event is the world’s largest exhibition in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

In order to maintain the message that CPhI Worldwide is the most important event in the pharmaceutical manufacturing calendar, and to further raise its profile amongst both visitors and exhibitors, Cicero recognised the need to take a different approach towards the marketing of the event.

Cicero has a long history of success within the chemical and pharmaceutical industry - working with such clients as Zeneca, SAFC, BASF, Elementis, the Chemical Industries Association, Julich, Excelsyn, Avecia, NPIL and Fujifilm - and it was this unrivalled reputation that led CMP Information to Cicero.

Cicero has already evaluated the entire offering for CPhI Worldwide and other CPhI events and is currently in the process of devising a comprehensive marketing strategy. An impressive advertising campaign and a range of other engaging marketing materials will also be produced to kick off the campaign at the October launch of CPhI Worldwide 2007, with the aim of increasing the awareness of other CPhI events, which are held in India, China and Japan.
