Danny Turnbull
Cicero, the Manchester-based full service business-to-business marketing agency, has appointed Danny Turnbull as its new managing director.
Danny, 34, starts 2006 as managing director after five years with Cicero as group account director and latterly client services director. His previous experience includes both client-side and agency work, including a further four years with CAS, as Cicero was previously known (from its foundation in 1914 until its name change in the 1990s).
Danny, who holds an economics degree and an MBA, has already played a key role in turning Cicero into the £5million company it is today, having been involved in some important new business wins in the past year including Samsung, SVC, Rullion and Styles & Woods.
Cicero chairman John Gatcliffe says, “Nobody is better placed than Danny to steer this company. He knows our culture, has been with us in our past and has been instrumental in shaping our ambitious targets for the future.”
Danny adds, “This is a very exciting challenge for me, and I am looking forward to helping to drive Cicero on to greater successes in 2006 and beyond. In the time I have been associated with Cicero I have been consistently impressed by the calibre of the company’s people and their work.
“Cicero has built and maintained an enviable blue chip client base through a strict adherence to delivering the highest quality strategic and creative output. It is my intention to help to build upon this strong base to help Cicero to become one of the most widely recognised premium B2B global marketing communications providers in the UK.”
